Upper Arrow Ferry

Two vessels: D.E.V."Galena" and M.V."Shelter Bay", provides an uninterrupted year-round ferry service crossing Upper Arrow Lake between Shelter Bay and Galena Bay approximately 18 hours a day, every day.

Upper Arrow Lake lies in the Columbia-Shuswap Region of British Columbia, 49 km south of Revelstoke on Highway 23. The UALF connects Shelter Bay and Galena Bay.

Shelter Bay, the western terminal, is connected to Revelstoke by Highway 23.

Galena Bay, the east shore terminal, is connected to Nakusp by a continuation of Highway 23.

A smaller vessel, the ""M.V. Shelter Bay Ferry", will provide additional service on May 16th, May 19, run daily from June 20 to October 13, 2008. Hours of Operations are from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Extra Sailing Service

There are no extra ferry service sailings scheduled at this time.

Dangerous Cargo Sailings

Dangerous Cargo trips on Tuesday and Thursdays for fuel and Dangerous Cargo. Canadian Coast Guard Regulations require that not more than 12 passengers be carried on sailing with Dangerous Goods which are explosives. Not more than 25 passengers are to be carried with Dangerous Goods other than explosives.

When the reserved day coincides with a statutory holiday, the Dangerous Cargo trips will be cancelled.
