barge-type cable ferry vessel "Needles", runs
across Lower Arrow Lake, about 59 km south of Nakusp
on Highway 6 between Fauquier and Needles and provides
uninterrupted year-round ferry service, 24 hours a day,
every day.
The
Needles Ferry is a vital connection in the movement
of tourists, commuters, and to those wishing to access
important social services such as doctors, dentists,
pharmacies, etc.
